Royal opening Research & Diagnostics Center (RDC) Adore
Her Majesty Máxima of the Netherlands officially opened the new Research & Diagnostics Center (RDC) Adore on 14 May 2025. In the new building of Amsterdam UMC, oncologists and neuroscientists will work together under one roof, with one common goal: accelerating the development of better, affordable and personalized treatments for patients. Adore is an initiative of Amsterdam UMC, Kankercenytrum Amsterdam, Amsterdam Neuroscience, Alzheimer Centrum Amsterdam and MS Centrum Amsterdam. The campus of Amsterdam UMC and VU Amsterdam has more than 2000 oncologists and neurologists, making it the largest onco-neurocampus in the world.
Adore believes that disruptive thinking outside of established disease silos, facilitating an expanded ecosystem and in-house development across the transnational pipeline accelerates the path from discovery to impact. By integrating expertise in neurology and oncology, Adore fosters interdisciplinary collaboration and knowledge sharing between the disciplines to more effectively address critical healthcare challenges in cancer and neurodegenerative disorders, and to bring affordable healthcare solutions closer to all.
This philosophy fits very closely with the mission of Romo Foundation and that is why we are one of the founding partners of Adore.
