About Romo Foundation .

When you become seriously ill, the future becomes uncertain. Despite the many developments in the medical field, it is sometimes difficult to remain optimistic. Fear, pain and worries take away your vision of tomorrow. That is what we find at Romo Foundation difficult to accept.
We want patients and their loved ones to have a more hopeful perspective.

That is why we are committed to accelerating medical progress. We believe that if we invest energy, time and resources more wisely, new treatments and applications will become available more quickly and we can prevent unnecessary suffering as much as possible.

Romo Foundation is a philanthropic family fund established in 2020. Our mission? To stimulate sustainable developments that prevent unnecessary suffering of patients and their loved ones.

Our focus in the coming years will be mainly on the field of pediatric oncology and neurodegenerative diseases in the Netherlands and Belgium. In addition to supporting research, we also look at how we can optimize connections, structures and networks. We want to better coordinate and strengthen developments and innovations. Furthermore, we use our network to give more publicity to important breakthroughs.

We realize all too well that such optimization cannot be achieved overnight, which is why we have a long-term horizon. Together with medical specialists, researchers and our partners, we can ensure that unnecessary suffering can be prevented more often.
