The first outlines for this initiative were outlined in 2011: the ambition to be the first in the world to be a center where oncology and neurology come together in close collaboration under one roof. In a brand new research center, equipped with the most advanced technology, researchers will find space together to deploy and further develop their equipment. The center forms a unique meeting place for top researchers from home and abroad, a breeding ground for innovation and scientific talent, where breakthroughs in the treatment of cancer and brain diseases come closer.

The building, officially called the Research & Diagnostics Center Adore, is the beating heart of the Adore concept. It was completed in October 2024 and the festive, official opening followed in May 2025.
